Burkina Faso: The new face seen from outside since Captain Ibrahim Traoré came to power

From 2019 to 2022, Burkina Faso projected a grim image internationally. From social media to television, the country of honest people was associated with massacres perpetrated by terrorists against the population. Every day, Africans were confronted with shocking images of populations fleeing their villages. The terrorists seemed to dictate their terms, as if Burkina Faso did not have an army capable of defending its citizens.

This situation, which long tarnished Burkina Faso’s image internationally, was poorly perceived by the African people. As for Europeans, official announcements from some Foreign Ministries indicated that Burkina Faso was 80% occupied by terrorists, formally prohibiting Europeans from going there.

THE REVOLT

Since the arrival of the MPSR, led by Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the Burkinabe army has regained its honor and dignity. The Burkinabe people have renewed hope, terrorists are being tracked down and eliminated, and the population is galvanized and aware that only the Burkinabe nation can lead its own fight. The country is now declared at war against terrorism.

Decisions have changed everything: villagers have returned to their homes, the army is well-equipped and present throughout the territory, and terrorists are now in difficulty for the first time in history. Some Burkinabe politicians with agreements with terrorists are now exposed, and many of them are in exile.

While terrorists took decades to seize Burkina Faso, under the silent gaze and applause of certain authorities, the MPSR led by Captain Ibrahim Traoré has succeeded, in less than two years and without external support in its fight against terrorism, in changing the image of the country of honest people, making it a model not only for fighting terrorism, but above all a model of patriotism. The Burkinabe people, under the direction and leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, have decided to confront invaders in all areas, starting with terrorism.

THE SLAP OF EXTERNAL SUPPORT

Thinking they could thwart the efforts of the MPSR and the Burkinabe people, several hypocritical countries in their cooperation with Burkina Faso withdrew all support for the transition led by Captain Ibrahim Traoré, hoping to compromise his patriotic commitment due to lack of funding. The response from the Burkinabe people was not long in coming, and the contribution to the war effort was followed by all Burkinabe worldwide. This was a good slap in the face for the international community.

THE WILL OF CAPTAIN IBRAHIM TRAORÉ

Despite international plots aimed at hindering Burkina Faso’s momentum from all angles, Captain Ibrahim Traoré and the MPSR did not give up and succeeded in breaking the myth. Making them models to follow today.
