Niger: Massive support for sovereignty – Tahoua Leads mobilization against foreign military presence

The Nigerien population, especially those from Tahoua , sent an unequivocal message of support to local authorities and the National Council for the Salvation of the People (CNSP) during a massive gathering. The streets of Tahoua were flooded with determined citizens, waving flags of the Sahel States Alliance (SSA), demanding the immediate withdrawal of American troops stationed on their soil.

The Regional Support Committee for the CNSP in Tahoua orchestrated this event, bringing together students, high school students, local security forces, and the population at large. Under the watchful eyes of regional authorities, led by the Governor of the Tahoua region, the people expressed unwavering support for the CNSP in its quest for national sovereignty.

Through this gathering in Tahoua, the Nigerien people affirmed their total commitment to reclaiming their national sovereignty, which has been usurped for years by foreign forces. The Regional Support Committee for the CNSP in Tahoua called for continued vigilance and enhanced mobilization until the definitive departure of the last foreign soldiers from the country.

In response to this popular demand, foreign media reports that the United States has agreed to withdraw its troops from Niger, although the exact date has not been announced.

This gathering in Tahoua attests to the determination of the Nigerien people to defend their sovereignty and shape their future on their own terms. Regional authorities and the CNSP have received massive support in their quest for national sovereignty, and development projects are being considered to strengthen security, culture, and agriculture in the Tahoua region and beyond.
