The Commission on Informatics and Liberties (CIL) has submitted its 2022 activity report
The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, received the 2022 public activity report from the Commission on Informatics and Liberties (CIL). The report summarizes the activities carried out during the year 2022 and includes the perspectives and grievances of the CIL.
Dr. Halquièta Nassa/Trawina, President of the CIL, went to deliver the 2022 public activity report of the Commission on Informatics and Liberties (CIL) to the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
The report details that approximately 15.000 people have been trained in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the field of information and awareness.
In the field of formalities processing, more than 190 projects have been implemented related to personal data.
About a hundred complaints have been recorded by the institution. « Among the complaints, some concern non-compliance with regulations and others concern the illicit use of digital platforms », said Dr. Halquièta Nassa/Trawina.
In terms of perspectives, the Commission on Informatics and Liberties plans to organize, on March 30, 2024, a national day for the protection of personal data, hold a governmental seminar, and operationalize digital education in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
The President of the CIL took the opportunity of the audience to request the support of the Head of State for the construction of the institution’s headquarters.
