According to information broadcasted on national television on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, the national armed forces engaged in intense combat against a group of assailants who had laid an ambush in the Boucle du Mouhoun region, in western Burkina Faso. The outcome of this battle resulted in several terrorists being killed under the strikes of patriotic fighters.
According to details provided by RTB (Broadcasting Television of Burkina Faso), the Burkinabe military, alerted by intelligence, thwarted an ambush set by a group of criminals in the Boucle du Mouhoun before engaging in combat against them.
Upon receiving the alert, attack helicopters provided reinforcement to the ground troops. Their seamless coordination of operations led to victory, with a significant number of terrorists neutralized.
