BURKINA FASO : RUSSIAN EMBASSY OPENS IN OUAGADOUGOU
The progress of cooperation between Burkina Faso and Russia continues to materialize. Following a meeting with Burkinabe authorities on Wednesday, December 27, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Alexey Saltykov, announced the opening of the embassy(Russian embassy) of his country in Ouagadougou on Thursday, December 28.
Discussions between members of the Burkinabe government and the Russian diplomat examined the dynamics of bilateral cooperation between Ouagadougou and Moscow. It was also a matter of officially launching the resumption of activities of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Burkina Faso on this day.
« We couldn’t have hoped for anything better; it’s proof that our cooperation is on the right track, and I congratulate you for the work you have personally done to ensure that dynamism characterizes the cooperation between Burkina Faso and the Russian Federation », rejoiced Burkinabe officials.
For his part, Alexey Saltykov applauds the opening of the Russian diplomatic representation in the land of Honest Men, which is a strong sign of the excellence of relations between the two states.
Indeed, the diplomatic residence should allow the Russian ambassador accredited to Burkina Faso to consolidate the achievements already made between the two countries and open up new perspectives for strengthening collaboration between Burkina Faso and the Russian Federation.
In this dynamic, « the future ambassador accredited to Burkina Faso already understands all the tasks that fall to him because the dynamics of relations between the two countries require it, and he must work to make them even better », it is indicated.
Also, the announced shipment of food aid from Russia to Burkina Faso will arrive in the coming days.
