Burkina-Faso: the people behind Captain Ibrahim Traoré, no more coup d’état until the end!

Rumors circulating on Burkinabe social networks since Monday, November 28, 2022, report yet another coup d’état, this time on the new strong man of Burkina-Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré. According to these rumors, the alleged new putschist would be a major economic operator of the country. To this end, young Burkinabè mobilized and gathered at the place de nation of Ouagadougou to defend their favorite President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, and say « no » to a new « coup d’état » in Faso.

While the government is unleashed to bring peace and national security to Faso, some ill-intentioned individuals are organizing to put fear in the stomach of the population. Following the seizure of power by Captain Ibrahim Traoré, various voices reported dissension within the Burkinabe army. President Ibrahim Traoré himself admitted this during a meeting with politicians a few days ago.

Indeed, on the night of Monday, November 28, Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, was boiling. Indeed, demonstrators stormed some arteries of the city of Ouagadougou to support the President of the transition, following rumors of a coup d’état. The mobilization continued on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.

The demonstrators explained their spontaneous regrouping because of information circulating, which reported an attempt to destabilize the Traoré regime. According to our sources in Ouaga, the attendance continues to grow at the Place de la Nation where the demonstrators carry effigies of Captain Ibrahim Traoré.Moreover, one of the demonstrators maintained that their presence at the Place de la Nation aims not only to dissuade the critics of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, but also to tell the President of the transition that they are mobilized behind him.

For the time being, the Burkinabe authorities have not yet reacted to these rumors, as well as to this mobilization of support for President Ibrahim Traoré.
