The President of the MPSR, does not give up in the fight against insecurity. With a view to bringing the security services closer to the population, a new police station in District No. 8 of Ouagadougou was inaugurated.

The construction of this district is the beginning of a process of the President of the MPSR, which will continue in all localities, particularly in Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso with the construction of a Commissariat in each district to meet the requirements of the new division of urban centers.

The President of the MPSR, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, in his drive to reduce insecurity and terrorism, has initiated a number of reforms. Indeed, it will be necessary to improve, among other things, the ratio of law enforcement through the consequent recruitment of personnel, the strengthening of the logistical means of the Defence and Security Forces, the intensification of patrols and operations on the ground.

President Traoré of the MPSR therefore invited the populations to participate in the implementation of the Security Policy through the concept of Community Policing by sharing information with the SDF and assisting these same Forces if necessary. It should be recalled that Colonel Boukaré Zoungrana, the Minister of Territorial Administration, Decentralization and Security, paid a visit to the General Directorate of the National Police to make contact in order to immerse himself in the realities of this institution in the context of the fight against terrorism.

The head of the general police reiterated his determination to redouble his efforts in the fight against terrorism and all other forms of insecurity in Burkina Faso.
