Burkina-Faso: Excellent cooperation continues between Ouagadougou and Tokyo

Burkina Faso has recently received significant support from Japan for its project on biometric registration of internally displaced persons (IDPs). This support, in the form of a digital equipment donation worth 93 million FCFA, includes 200,000 registration cards, 120 fingerprint sensors, and 120 batteries.

These resources enhance the IDP profiling project in the country, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in managing internal displacements.

The Japanese Ambassador to Burkina Faso, Nagashima Jun, played a key role in this initiative, showcasing the excellent relationship between the two countries established over many years.

This cooperation extends to various areas such as education, training, agriculture, security, and infrastructure, reflecting Japan’s ongoing commitment to Burkina Faso’s socio-economic development.

This gesture from Japan also underscores international solidarity and the willingness to contribute to projects aimed at improving the living conditions of displaced populations.

The cooperation between Japan and Burkina Faso is characterized by fruitful collaboration and mutual commitment to progress and the well-being of citizens.
