Togo, under the leadership of President Faure Gnassingbé strengthens its ties of cooperation with Turkey

Under the insightful leadership of H.E. Faure Gnassingbé, Togo is actively committed to strengthening its cooperation ties with Turkey, attesting to a dynamic diplomacy focused on development. The Minister of Investment Promotion, Mrs. Manuella Santos, received a delegation of Turkish investors led by the Ambassador of Turkey to Togo, Muteber Kiliç.

The goal of this delegation was to explore promising business opportunities that Togo offers. Minister Manuella Santos took this opportunity to inform Turkish business leaders about the government’s priority projects, as outlined in the Togo 2025 roadmap. Emphasis was placed on crucial sectors such as agriculture, energy, and manufacturing, showcasing the diversity and potential of the Togolese economy.

For the Togolese government, this meeting was not just an occasion to present ongoing projects but also a strategic opportunity to pique the interest of Turkish investors. The ultimate objective was to position Togo as a preferred destination for foreign investments.

This collaboration is not a singular event but part of a positive trend. The partnership between Togo and Turkey, elevated to the highest level in recent years, continues to strengthen. The numbers speak for themselves, with trade between the two countries reaching an impressive sum of 200 million dollars in 2022.

The growing economic relations between Togo and Turkey demonstrate the effectiveness of the efforts deployed by President Faure Gnassingbé and his government to attract foreign investments. This enhanced cooperation paves the way for mutually beneficial economic development, creating job opportunities, boosting industrial growth, and fostering prosperity for both nations.

Under the leadership of President Faure Gnassingbé, Togo is asserting itself as a key player in promoting successful international partnerships, with Turkey as a privileged partner in this journey of economic cooperation.
