Togo: The party UNIR embodied by a visionary leader for the country

Founded on April 14, 2012, by the distinguished activist and president of Togo, Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBE, the prominent political party, Union for the Republic (UNIR), has a vision of unity, national cohesion, peace, and sustainable and inclusive development for the flourishing of the Togolese citizens.

It is within this ideology that the various actions of the party’s president and the Togolese head of state, Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBE, are rooted.

Surrounded by dedicated supporters and individuals who share the same vision as the UNIR party, such as the party’s executive secretary, Aklesso ATCHOLI, the Togolese leader has been able to outline the majority of his social program.

This social program includes development projects in the fields of education, healthcare, and economics through the National Development Plan (PND).

The President of the Republic of Togo has also been deeply committed to promoting entrepreneurship among young people and women by providing support mechanisms for their agricultural initiatives in particular.

Profound and essential reforms on economic, political, and institutional fronts have been initiated to accelerate development and modernization.

Remarkable progress and advancements in all areas and aspects have been observed, with tangible impacts on the daily lives of Togolese citizens.

His commitment to peace, stability, social cohesion, and dialogue on both national and continental levels has consistently been translated into concrete actions.

UNIR party members have been engaged in national efforts to promote and preserve peace and stability.

The Togolese President has also worked towards maintaining or strengthening peace on the African continent, particularly in the West African sub-region.

He is recognized for his promptness and determination in finding resolutions to crises and conflicts in some neighboring countries.

This commitment to stability in Africa is also evident through the regular deployment of Togolese contingents under the United Nations banner.

His refusal to participate in the military aggression plan against Niger by ECOWAS is one of the demonstrations of his dedication to peace and stability in Africa.
