Ivory Coast: «Vody» Case. What Really Happens?

In a context of fierce competition, many companies use misinformation to tarnish the image of their challengers, in order to win.For a few days now, publications have targeted the beverage brand Vody Energy, an energy drink that is very heavily consumed in Africa and has led to its prohibition in countries like Cote d’Ivoire. In this country, whether in cafeterias and restaurants or even on displays, this drink is always present.

It should be remembered that vody is a mixture of vodka and energy drink. It is manufactured in Germany under hygienic conditions strictly in accordance with international standards. If this is the case, then why this relentlessness on it?

According to our information, some French companies, notably Castel, have seen their profits fall as a result of the very high consumption of this drink. They have therefore embarked on what could be described as unfair competition.

They are using the corrupt media, which are taking on the nasty task of publishing misleading reports just to tarnish the image of this brand of drink. The same strategy is being adopted in several countries.

According to our information, Castel paid a large sum of money to run this misleading campaign against the energy drink. While isolated cases of drunkenness or damage have been reported among some unaware drinkers, this should not be the general rule.

We are not in favour of alcoholic beverages. Some questions seem dark to us in this case which deserves to be followed from start to finish.
