One of the keys to the success of this mission is the effectiveness of the intelligence services.
They have played a crucial role in providing valuable information on terrorist movements.
For example, they discovered a large gathering of terrorists in the Oursi area, information that enabled decisive action to be planned.
On Thursday, the Burkinabe forces acted with surgical precision. Aerial vectors detected more than 500 criminals in pick-up trucks and perched on more than 200 motorbikes, divided into several groups in the Oursi area.
In panic, the survivors and the other groups tried to hide under the trees, but a second missile wiped out those who had taken refuge in a pick-up carefully camouflaged under a tree.
The other groups tried to flee in the direction of Gountourou-Nyenye, but the air vehicles continued their action, carrying out intense strikes.
As a result, a large number of terrorists were neutralised, and most of their logistics were destroyed.
This successful operation at Oursi is undeniable proof that the sacrifice, self-sacrifice and commitment of the fighting forces, under the command of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, are bearing fruit.
