Burkina Faso: The Pan-Africanist movement is demonstrating its solidarity with the anti-terrorism struggle/medical equipment donated to treat war casualties.

The Pan-Africanist movement is demonstrating its solidarity with the anti-terrorism struggle/medical equipment donated to treat war casualties. Captain TraorĂ©’s vision and efforts to bring peace and stability to Burkina Faso have won hearts beyond the country’s borders and received diverse forms of support. To demonstrate solidarity with the transition and its political governance, a delegation from the Movement of Pan-African Leaders actively participated in the large mobilization on July 1st alongside the crowd supporting the constitutional revision project.

« We are proud to have a leader like President Captain Ibrahim TraorĂ©, who fights tirelessly to defeat terrorism in Burkina (…) And for that, we want him (Captain Ibrahim TraorĂ©) to stay in power for up to 20 years», expressed AssĂ©ta Salogo, also known as Mama Pan-African, a member of the Federation of Movements.

Killing two birds with one stone, these Pan-Africanists from Mali, Congo, and Angola demonstrated their solidarity towards the fighters engaged in the territory reconquest operations by offering medical equipment for the effective care of the wounded.

The handover took place at the Sangoulé Lamizana camp, in the presence of national army officials and the media.

According to the donors, this gesture represents the support of Pan-Africans from different countries, as an «unwavering support to the National Armed Forces and Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland, who have made numerous sacrifices for the defense of the country, peace, and social cohesion».

The donated items include first aid materials, surgical equipment, medicines, boxes of compresses and surgical masks, protective gloves, cotton balls, urine bags, and more.

According to these leaders, eradicating terrorism outside the Sahelo-Saharan region can only be possible through the united efforts of all Africans in support of the countries affected by it.

The military, on its part, did not hesitate to express its gratitude to the delegation of the Pan-Africanist Movement for this active solidarity, as well as to the entire African community that relies on joint efforts to overcome this scourge.
