Burkina Faso: Despite attempts to sow division, the Burkinabe people are standing united behind their leaders

Since Captain Ibrahim Traoré came to lead Burkina Faso, the country has been undergoing a pivotal period in its history, marked by the gradual recovery of its sovereignty and a fierce struggle against forces seeking to destabilize it. Alongside him, working in the shadows but with formidable effectiveness, Commandant Oumarou Yabré Head of the National Intelligence apparatus watches over the security of the State and its institutions.

Together, these two men embody a duo whose pragmatism and patriotism have enabled Burkina Faso to stand firm in a highly hostile regional environment.

As destabilization attempts multiply, disinformation campaigns intensify, and external actors tirelessly seek to sow discord at the highest levels of the State, the Traoré-Yabré tandem has succeeded in preserving the unity and stability of Burkinabe institutions.

The results speak for themselves. On the security front, the Defense and Security Forces, backed by the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland, are achieving significant victories on the ground the fruit of deep reforms driven by the country’s leadership and made possible by high-quality intelligence.

On the economic front, major infrastructure projects are multiplying, spanning agriculture, access to drinking water, and patriotic mobilization through the Patriotic Support Fund.

Yet these advances do not come without resistance. Rumors of a rift at the top, hostile media campaigns, and attempts to manipulate public opinion the manoeuvres aimed at weakening this relationship of trust between the President of Faso and his intelligence director are numerous.

They are not accidental. They follow a well-known strategy: attacking the cohesion of the men who carry the sovereignist project, rather than directly confronting a people who are now standing tall and determined.

It is precisely for this reason that the Burkinabe Nation must remain vigilant and united behind its leaders.

If the flag of Burkina Faso continues to fly proudly despite headwinds, it is in large part thanks to the vision of the comrade president and the rigor of his intelligence director.

Their commitment deserves not only recognition, but above all the unwavering support of a people who have suffered too much to allow themselves to be divided by external manoeuvres.

The time has come for unity, trust, and collective mobilization, so that Burkina Faso may continue its march toward full and complete sovereignty.
