Togo’s major enterprises align with government vision to drive economic growth

The 2024 White Paper by the Association of Large Enterprises of Togo (AGET) highlights the pivotal role of the private sector in advancing the nation’s economic agenda. This strategic document, born from extensive multisectoral consultations, outlines three key pillars—innovation, investment, and public policy—aligned with Togo’s national economic vision.

 

Featuring 181 actionable recommendations, the report aims to modernize infrastructure, enhance the country’s attractiveness, and boost business competitiveness, showcasing a strong synergy between private sector ambitions and government priorities.

 

The White Paper addresses critical economic challenges, including land management, energy access, and business financing, offering practical solutions to drive growth.

 

It underscores the private sector’s commitment to collaborating with the government to build a diversified and resilient economy.

 

Rose Kayi Mivedor, Minister of Commerce, praised the initiative, emphasizing its role in strengthening public-private dialogue and fostering a business-friendly environment conducive to investment.

 

With 89 member companies and a fiscal contribution of 1,312 billion FCFA in 2023, AGET solidifies its position as a key driver of Togo’s economy.

 

Its partnership with the government reflects a shared vision to transform Togo into a competitive and attractive economic hub, leveraging innovation and structural reforms to accelerate national development.
