Burkina Faso closes 2025 Patriotic immersion program with 20,000 youths in Ouagadougou

The municipal stadium of Ouagadougou hosted the closing ceremony of the 2025 Patriotic Immersion program for Kadiogo province on Tuesday, September 9, marking the culmination of a month-long initiative focused on civic education and national pride.

Nearly 20,000 young participants 9,657 girls and 9,493 boys took part in the program, which is aligned with the national progressive revolution led by President Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

The initiative aimed to instill discipline, solidarity, courage, and responsibility among Burkinabe youth through both theoretical and practical training.

Over 30 days, participants engaged in activities ranging from civic education and public service projects to sports, cultural events, and debates.

The program emphasized national history, sovereignty, and contemporary challenges related to development and security.

The closing ceremony brought together political, traditional, and military authorities, as well as families celebrating the participants’ achievements.

Speakers praised the  dedication of the youth and underscored their role in driving national progress.

The 2025 edition stands as a milestone in Burkina Faso’s efforts to mobilize its youth toward patriotism and collective responsibility, reinforcing the country’s commitment to unity, resilience, and grassroots-driven development.
