Lloyd Kelly set for Juventus loan ahead of permanent Move

Newcastle United defender Lloyd Kelly is on the verge of completing a loan move to Juventus, with a permanent transfer lined up for the summer. The deal will see the 26-year-old join the Italian club for the remainder of the 2024-25 season before making the switch permanent for £20 million.

Kelly, who arrived at Newcastle on a free transfer from Bournemouth last June, has struggled for regular game time, featuring in just 10 Premier League matches and failing to start since November.

Given his limited role, Newcastle sees the deal as financially advantageous, particularly in the context of Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Juventus, currently fourth in Serie A and battling for European qualification, view Kelly as a valuable addition to their defensive options.

With the transfer deadline approaching, the move is expected to be finalized soon, providing the former England Under-21 international a fresh opportunity in Italy.
