AC Milan set to sign Victor Boniface on loan from Bayer Leverkusen

Nigerian striker Victor Boniface is set to join AC Milan on a season-long loan with an option to buy, marking a move from the Bundesliga to Serie A. The clubs have reached an agreement, with the player’s agent traveling to Milan to finalize contract terms.

The 24-year-old becomes available after falling out of plans under new Bayer Leverkusen coach Erik ten Hag, who prefers Patrik Schick as the central striker.

Boniface’s proposed winter move to Al-Nassr previously collapsed, but Milan have now secured their target.

Boniface brings an impressive track record: 32 goals and 12 assists in 61 appearances across all competitions for Leverkusen.

His physicality, mobility, and consistent output; including 11 goals last season made him a priority for the Rossoneri’s attacking reinforcement.

The loan deal includes a €30 million option to buy, offering Milan flexibility while addressing immediate offensive needs.

Boniface’s arrival signals Milan’s ambition to strengthen their frontline with proven talent ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
