Burkina Faso/Industrialisation: President Ibrahim TRAORE’s vision welcomed and supported by the Hauts-Bassins employers

The Hauts-Bassins chapter of Burkina Faso’s National Employers’ Council (CNPB) has expressed strong support for President Ibrahim Traoré’s commitment to industrialization and the promotion of local production.

This endorsement was made on Friday, November 29, during a meeting with the President in Bobo-Dioulasso, ahead of the inauguration of the « Made In Burkina » tomato processing plant.

Spearheaded by the Agency for the Promotion of Community Entrepreneurship, this initiative is part of a broader program championed by President Traoré to empower local entrepreneurs.

The plant, now entering its operational phase, is expected to transform the tomato industry by boosting local production and enabling on-site processing.

According to the CNPB, this project will play a significant role in fostering financial independence for stakeholders across the agricultural value chain.

The President’s strategy aims to achieve food self-sufficiency while reducing reliance on imports. This initiative is also anticipated to strengthen the national economy and contribute to sustainable development.
