Burkina Faso: The Kingdom of Ouagadougou contributes 7,000,000 CFA francs and provisions to the war effort

The Kingdom of Ouagadougou shows its concern about the fight against terrorists and the liberation of the country.

 On April 18th, 2023, His Majesty the Moogho Naaba Baongo gave to Colonel Boukaré ZOUNGRANA, Burkinabe Minister of Territorial Administration, Decentralization, and Security, « the patriotic contribution to the war effort against terrorism» in Burkina Faso.

The donation consists of a financial contribution of seven million CFA francs, 200 bags of 25 kg rice, 22 bags of 50 kg rice, 30 bags of 50 kg maize, 20 bags of 50 kg millet, 20 bags of 50 kg sorghum, and 10 boxes of sugar.

According to the Moogho Naaba Baongo, this donation is the result of the contribution of all the sons and daughters of the Kingdom of Ouagadougou. It’s their way to participate in the efforts that the authorities made to stem the security crisis that has been affecting the country and the sub-region for several years.

He also stated that this donation reflects the commitment of the entire kingdom of Ouagadougou to the development of the Burkinabe people.

That is why, he said: «With this gesture, we want to express our unwavering commitment to the Nation and our constant support for all struggles for justice and social peace». He also hopes for a return to peace and calm, and a positive response from all the sons and daughters of the country of the honest people to the call of the Head of State.

On his part, Minister Boukaré ZOUNGRANA expressed his delight at the patriotic contribution from the Moogho Naaba.

According to him, this contribution is a sign that terrorism is a major concern for His Majesty and his entire community.

This donation follows that of internally displaced persons (PDI. in French) from three villages in the commune of Fada N’Gourma.

This action aimed at supporting the transition to complete the fight against terrorism and achieve a lasting peace and stability in Burkina Faso.
