Burkina Faso/Tunisia: Both partners on the path to strengthening relations

Burkina Faso and Tunisia maintain excellent and fruitful relations of friendship and multisectoral cooperation. This is evidenced by the presence of the Tunisian Foreign Minister in Ouagadougou for the 8th session of the Burkina Faso-Tunisia Joint Cooperation Commission.

In this context, a meeting was held between the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, and the Tunisian Foreign Minister. The discussions focused on strengthening and revitalizing cooperation and bilateral ties between the two countries. Both parties expressed their willingness to better meet the needs of their respective populations.

Another significant topic addressed by the two leaders was migration. On this subject, the Tunisian representative in Burkina Faso stated that his country is open to all legal migrants from the partner country, Burkina Faso, as well as from other African countries. According to him, this contributes to strengthening ties and developing the economies on both sides.

It is important to note that the strong bilateral relationship between Burkina and Tunisia spans several areas, including politics, trade, education and vocational training, health and infrastructure, culture, and the diaspora. Strengthening this cooperation will be a real opportunity for both partners to address the challenges they face.
