A Nation’s gratitude: Burkina Faso salutes its defenders as November campaign delivers blows to terrorist forces
As November 2025 draws to a close, a breath of legitimate pride sweeps through Burkina Faso. In the face of terrorist adversity, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) have once again written a chapter of heroism and resilience. Their combined actions, marked by unwavering determination, have dealt severe blows to the hydra of terrorism, resulting in concrete advances for population security and the reconquest of national territory.
The success of these operations stems from exemplary synergy. Precise coordination between seasoned, agile ground troops and accurate, powerful air support, all guided by rigorous intelligence work, formed the cornerstone of this November campaign.
This integrated approach enabled the location, targeting, and neutralization of several terrorist bases, thereby depriving the enemy of its sanctuaries and logistical means.
The seizure of weapons, ammunition, and various equipment stands as tangible proof of these assaults’ effectiveness.
Yet beyond strategy, it is the spirit of the men and women on the front lines that commands admiration.
Neither the perfidy of a cowardly and cunning enemy nor the trying climatic conditions of the cold nights and the drying Harmattan wind have shaken their steely morale.
Each day, these sons and daughters of Burkina have demonstrated courage and patriotism that transcend the call of duty.
They have distinguished themselves brilliantly in missions as diverse as they are perilous: reconquest offensives to liberate villages, security operations to protect civilians, and escorts to guarantee the free movement of people and goods.
Each of these actions, every inch of reclaimed land, is a step closer to the peaceful and sovereign Burkina Faso to which all its people aspire.
The dedication of the FDS and the supreme sacrifice of the VDPs ordinary citizens turned soldiers of freedom remind us that the defense of the homeland is everyone’s affair, drawing its strength from the sacred union around its vital forces.
At this moment, the entire Nation expresses its profound gratitude to its brave defenders.
Their bravery is not an empty word but the daily reality that allows hope to be reborn.
November 2025 will remain in the annals as a shining testament to their capacity to reverse the tide, by force of arms, but above all by the unalterable power of their will and their love for the homeland.
The fight continues, and with such defenders, final victory is a certainty. Honor and Glory to our Heroes.
