Burkina Faso / Patriotic support fund: The strength of a united people defending their homeland

Burkina Faso continues to write, day by day, an exemplary chapter of national solidarity and economic patriotism. Chaired by Prime Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, the members of the steering Council of the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP) held their third ordinary session in this year of 2025.

As of September 30, 2025, the total amount collected stands at 142.6 billion CFA francs, achieving 95.07% of the annual target set at 150 billion. This remarkable result is the fruit of an unprecedented collective commitment.

This level of mobilization reflects the Burkinabe people’s confidence in their own strength and their determination to confront current security and humanitarian challenges.

From ordinary citizens to business operators, as well as the diaspora and public institutions, everyone is contributing, to the best of their ability, to the defense and reconstruction of the country.

The FSP is thus establishing itself as a genuine lever for national resilience, a symbol of the cohesion of a people who refuse to accept a predetermined fate.

But beyond the numbers, it is the rigorous management  of the Fund that deserves praise.

Under the supervision of the Prime Minister and with the support of competent regulatory bodies, particular attention is paid to transparency, traceability, and good governance.

Every franc mobilized is directed towards strengthening the operational capacities of the Defense and Security Forces, supporting the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and assisting affected populations. This rigor reinforces the contributors’ trust and gives the FSP its full credibility.

Through this exemplary management, the government reaffirms that patriotism is not just a matter of heartfelt impulse, but also an act of responsibility and discipline.

The success of the Patriotic Support Fund illustrates the maturity of the Burkinabe people, who are aware that national sovereignty is built through collective effort and active solidarity.

By reaching nearly all of its collection targets before the end of the year, the FSP proves that Burkina Faso possesses within itself the moral and financial resources needed to overcome its trials.

This is a shining sign of a nation standing tall, united, and confident in its destiny.
