Burkina Faso PM holds consultative meetings in Banfora during official visit
During an official visit to Banfora on Monday, September 8, 2025, Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo held a series of meetings with key local stakeholders. He received delegations of traditional and religious leaders, as well as representatives from citizen watch groups, all of whom reaffirmed their support for the progressive popular revolution led by President Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
The traditional leaders raised concerns regarding the isolation of certain areas and the management of water reservoirs essential for agricultural development.
The Prime Minister listened attentively and assured them that the government is already implementing sustainable solutions.
He highlighted the ongoing equipment and deployment of road construction brigades as a concrete measure to address territorial isolation.
These efforts, he noted, are aimed at improving connectivity, facilitating trade, and strengthening the resilience of rural communities.
The meetings are part of a broader effort to improve coordination among administrative, military, and community actors in implementing public policies.
The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining proximity to the people and placing dialogue at the core of public action.
This regular consultation framework reflects a clear ambition: to build inclusive and balanced development across all regions of Burkina Faso.
