Burkina Faso/Industrialisation: The President of Faso’s commitment to the private sector is crucial

Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, the President of Burkina Faso, is actively implementing numerous initiatives to strengthen the country’s industrial sector and is committed to supporting the private sector for effective industrialization. He believes that the development of the industrial sector is a crucial driver of economic growth and national development.
In addition to the state-driven projects for establishing local processing factories, the President strongly encourages private sector participation.
His presence on March 6th at the official inauguration of the « Fassi » Detergent Industrial Complex (CIDF) in Pabré, located in the Central region, highlights his determination to support and promote private initiatives in achieving the country’s objectives.
The promoter of this industrial complex came up with the innovative idea of producing detergents, both powder and liquid soaps, locally.
This initiative not only reduces the country’s reliance on imported products but also contributes to tackling unemployment by creating 122 permanent jobs, over 300 direct jobs, and nearly 1,600 seasonal jobs.
During the inauguration ceremony, the President reiterated his commitment to supporting the private sector in advancing industrial development.
This, he emphasized, would contribute to reducing imports that often weaken the country’s economy, thereby strengthening Burkina Faso’s economic independence and overall progress.
