Togo: Government and partners establish new partnership framework for development projects

The Togolese government, under the leadership of President Faure Gnassingbé, is exploring other partnership avenues to consolidate its achievements in development. A meeting was held between certain government members and a delegation from the Tony Blair Institute, one of Togo’s partners since 2017 on priority projects outlined in the government’s 2020-2025 roadmap.

This working session between the government and the delegation, led by the Prime Minister, focused on evaluating the projects implemented under this partnership, which has been successful according to the conclusions reached by both parties.

Indeed, several development projects have been carried out in key sectors including energy, agriculture, and industry. These projects, mostly executed in the northern part of the country, have had a real impact on the lives of the population. Specifically, the discussion revolved around the training of young Togolese individuals and the implementation of economic reforms aimed at improving the business climate.

Given the impact of this partnership on the daily lives of rural populations, the government and the Tony Blair Institute are considering other prospects to continue the country’s development process, through strengthening government action in favor of the Togolese people.
