CAN 2023 : Senegal vs Ivory Coast, Lions wary of elephants
The Lions of Teranga from Senegal, despite being favorites, are on their guard against the miraculous Elephants of Ivory Coast. The two teams face each other in the eighth finals on Monday, January 29, in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite everything favoring the Senegalese selection, Aliou Cissé and his players remain cautious about Ivory Coast, the host country, which will want to redeem itself in the eyes of the entire nation disappointed by its poor performances.
« All of that no longer matters. It’s in the past, and a new competition begins. It’s a very difficult match awaiting us against Ivory Coast, a team that will want to redeem itself in front of its home crowd », said Coach Aliou Cissé.
