Burkina Faso : Mobilization Against Terrorism/The Combating Forces and the People Still at the Forefront
The mobilization of the sons and daughters of Burkina Faso in recent months against terrorist groups is unprecedented. The intensification of offensives by the Defense and Security Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) on the front lines, contributions to peace efforts, subscriptions to community entrepreneurship, etc., all indicate that the country is in the final stretch of this war against the forces of evil.
In his address to the Burkinabè people on the occasion of the country’s independence commemoration, President Captain Ibrahim Traoré once again called on all citizens to mobilize further to support the transition in all its initiatives for the reconquest of the entirety of Burkina Faso. And once again, patriotic Burkinabè did not hesitate to respond to the call.
In terms of security forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), their dedication in this imposed war has led to the neutralization of over a hundred terrorists in the Yougrin bush. In Gorgadji and Djika, criminals faced a similar fate, struck by the same intensity of aerial vectors and ground battalions.
In a different aspect but still within the fight against terrorism, a Burkinabè citizen donated a hundred motorcycles to the combat forces as a contribution to peace efforts. On the other hand, many others have actively subscribed to community entrepreneurship, as advocated by President Traoré. This includes the Burkinabè diaspora in Italy, gathered within the Federation of Associations of Burkinabè in Italy.
Furthermore, the Bishops have aligned themselves with the dynamics of the transitional president. They have called on the enemies of the country to abandon their various plots, allowing the nation to continue its journey towards peace and love.
