DRC : Last campaign meeting this December 18/ Félix Tshisekedi can count on the vote of the people of Kinshasa
In a show of enthusiasm and beauty, the outgoing President Félix Tshisekedi, a candidate for his own reelection, held his final campaign rally on Monday, December 18, in Kinshasa. The people of the Ndjili neighborhood welcomed their chosen candidate with total fervor, assuring him of their votes.
«We are numerous to support President Fatshi Béton, who will receive a 20/20 score! We want to grant him a second term » ! expressed Tubi, a 52-year-old teacher, proudly wearing a cap with the image of Félix Tshisekedi, the « candidate number 20 ». « There is no other conqueror. He is the best candidate. We trust him. He has built roads, solved many problems. He has invested in numerous territories ». Continues the teacher.
In the crowd, Boniface, another supporter of the Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS), President Tshisekedi’s party, says: «I assure you that all these people who came did so without a single cent being distributed, as is done in other campaign headquarters». « This campaign is the epitome of the maturity of the Congolese people. It is demonstrating to the world that this people is rising from a situation that no one could have imagined ». he adds.
Like this 55-year-old agronomist, several thousand people made their way to St. Therese Stadium to show their support for the UDPS candidate. Wearing T-shirts in his colors, supporters affirm that they see the outgoing President as the man for the job and renew their trust in him to complete the major development projects initiated since his accession to power in 2018.
