Côte d’Ivoire: CIMA prepares to honour leaders and economic excellence at the 30th conference of the Winning Africa Forum

The International Council of African Managers (CIMA) is preparing to celebrate the 30th Annual Conference of the winning Africa Forum in Abidjan, on December 1, 2023. This international event will highlight the current challenges facing Africa, with a particular focus on youth, climate and competitiveness.

This year’s theme, «Facing the great changes of this world, how Africa will have to face the challenges of youth, climate and competitiveness, accompany our success models to consolidate the foundations of emergence», promises rich debates and visionary perspectives. The morning forum will host thematic conferences led by renowned experts.

The evening, on the other hand, has a special significance as CIMA plans to pay tribute to eminent personalities. Sidi Abd Allah Sy, spokesman of the CIMA, stresses that Côte d’Ivoire was chosen for this edition to salute an alleged leadership of the President of the Republic Alassane Ouattara and to remember President Félix Houphouët-Boigny, the first sponsor of the organization founded in 1986.

The year 2023 also marks the 30th anniversary of the death of President Félix Houphouët-Boigny, and CIMA wishes to pay special tribute to him by recognizing his impact on the region.

The recognition evening will be an opportunity to present the awards to exemplary business leaders, including Charles Denis Kouassi, Director General of the Caisse nationale de prévoyance sociale (CNPS). The organizers welcome the impressive financial results of the CNPS, noting that it crossed the 100 billion FCFA mark in 2020, a remarkable feat compared to the deficit recorded in 2011.

Sidi Abd Allah Sy expressed his satisfaction with the growing performance of the CNPS since the 2012 reform, stressing the importance of these successes in the current economic context. This 30th edition of the winning Africa Forum promises to be a key moment for the recognition of leadership and economic excellence, while exploring ways to strengthen the foundations of African emergence.
