Africa/Financial inclusion: Togo first country in WAEMU, a clear will of President Faure Gnassingbé

Togo under the leadership of its President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, is a reference in the WAEMU in terms of financial inclusion. Microfinance is one of the best alternatives preferred by Togo to meet the needs of the poorest and reduce poverty. The Togolese President, H.E.M Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, opened the microfinance portal to facilitate access to basic financial services for the most vulnerable.

Thanks to this strategy of President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, many Togolese have managed to create income-generating activities. According to information, nearly two million beneficiaries, whose living conditions are more improved.

Togo, is so far a good example for the other countries of the sub-region participating in the African Microfinance Week, which is held in Lomé, the Togolese capital.
