Barcelona makes bold move for Nico Williams with Multi-faceted offer

FC Barcelona has made a significant push for Nico Williams, an international player from Athletic Bilbao, by preparing to submit an official offer aimed at bolstering their offensive lineup.

The Blaugrana, having identified Williams as a top priority, are ready to engage in negotiations with Bilbao.

According to SPORT, Barcelona’s proposed deal for Williams involves a structured payment plan and a player exchange.

Initially, Barça aims to avoid triggering the player’s release clause, instead proposing a €40 million offer payable in two installments.

Although they have not received a response, Barça are confident that this initial offer will be rejected, and are already preparing a second with a significant increase in the price.

The offer would be 55 million (divided into two payments of 30 and 25) plus 10 million in variables.

To this 55 million should also be added Iñigo Martínez who, at 33, has lost market value and is now valued at 5 with a market value according to the reference website Transfermarkt.

This strategic move highlights Barcelona’s intent to reinforce their attack, complementing existing talents like Yamine Lamine and Robert Lewandowski with a powerful left winger.

The outcome of these negotiations remains to be seen, as it depends on Bilbao’s reception of the offer.
