Burkina-Faso/National Youth Days: Bobo-Dioulasso at the heart of the 8th edition from 31 July to 4 August 2024

The organizing committee members for the 8th edition of the National Youth Days (JNJ) held a press conference on March 2nd in Bobo-Dioulasso. The aim was to outline the key aspects of this edition and officially launch the participant registration site for the 2024 JNJ.

Armel Regis Nikiema, President of the National Catholic Youth Committee (CNJC), mentioned that they anticipate the participation of 10,000 young individuals in JNJ Bobo 2024, representing various regions of the country.

In an effort to promote inclusivity and social cohesion, Nikiema highlighted that young people from different religious backgrounds, as well as from neighboring countries and continents like Europe and Asia, are also expected at this event.

«Since 2018, due to national challenges related to both security and health issues, specifically the emergence of the coronavirus pandemic, the CNJC has not organized JNJ», he stated.

Notably, the organization of these youth days returns to the city of Sya after a hiatus of 21 years.

Marcel Samaké, President of the youth in Bobo, and Monsignor Paul Ouédraogo appealed to partners and well-wishers to support the organization of JNJ Bobo 2024.

In return, they assured potential sponsors of attractive sponsorship opportunities.

The CNJC encompasses all recognized Catholic youth organizations by the Episcopal Conference in Burkina Faso.

Themed «An ka tama gnôgôn fê» in Djula, which translates to “Lets walk together ” in english, this edition of the National Youth Days aligns with the resilience framework and advocates for communal living.

The official website www.cnjc.com is now open for registrations for JNJ Bobo 2024.
