Official split: Paul Pogba and Juventus part ways amid doping verdict uncertainty

Amidst the lingering uncertainty of his doping case’s final verdict, Paul Pogba and Juventus have officially parted ways. The French midfielder, commonly referred to as «La Pioche» (The Pickaxe), and the Old Lady are reported to have severed their ties. Pogba’s doping saga began in August 2023 when he tested positive for testosterone, leading to his provisional suspension on September 11.

The subsequent reanalysis, conducted less than a month later, confirmed the presence of testosterone metabolites.

As the football world awaits the final decision on a four-year disqualification sought by the anti-doping prosecutor, Pogba has been sidelined from the pitch since September 3, 2023.

This separation marks the end of an era between Paul Pogba and Juventus, as reported by Italian journalist Romeo Agresti.

Despite Pogba’s contract with Juventus extending until June 2026, it appears that the midfielder is no longer bound to the Bianconeri.

Agresti indicates that the official announcement of the divorce between Paul Pogba and Juventus is imminent, signifying that Juventus will no longer be extending its support to the player.
