Burkina Faso: An officer wanted by the courts and found in Gounghin opens fire on those present
Summoned by the military justice system to answer charges against him in the foiled coup d’etat, his name having been mentioned by those already arrested, a Burkinabe officer, Major Tohougobou Ismaël, who had disappeared after being summoned by the justice system, was spotted in Ouagadougou, in Gounghin to be precise.
Once informed, the police, having received a summons from the court, went to the scene to arrest him. As soon as they arrived, Major Tohougobou Ismaël opened fire not only on the police, but also on those present.
The forces of law and order retaliated against Major Tohougobou Ismaël, with fatal results. The case of the coup d’etat is continuing and it is important to point out that according to our information, several political figures from Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire, including officers, have been named by the officers already questioned in this case.
The courts are committed to shedding light on this affair. All those named will be questioned by the courts.
