Community entrepreneurship, a program desired by the transitional government chaired by the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, is becoming more concrete. This vision of the president of the Burkinabe revolution to ensure a harmonious and sustainable development to all social strata is led by the Agency for the Promotion of Community Entrepreneurship (APEC).

This vision of the President of the Burkinabe revolution to ensure harmonious and sustainable development for all social strata is being piloted by the Agency for the Promotion of Community Entrepreneurship (APEC).

According to the government, a total of FCFA 100 billion will be mobilised to finance, initially, four (4) projects. These include projects on mechanisation and agricultural intensification, the setting up of two (02) tomato processing units (Bobo Dioulasso and Tenkodogo), the setting up of a purchasing centre for the marketing of local products, and the creation of a semi-mechanised gold mining unit.

During his visit to the agency at the end of the week, President Traoré made the final preparations for the start of work on the first plant. The work will be launched on 23 September by the Head of State, thus translating his vision for Burkina-Faso into action.

This plant, which will soon be in the ground, is also a concrete expression of the transitional government’s commitment to putting citizens at the very heart of the endogenous development process. From now on, under President Ibrahim Traoré, the people of Burkina Faso will be the creators and beneficiaries of the country’s wealth.
