Burkina Faso: Ten Terrorists Neutralized in Nayala Province
The war on terror and the recapture of all areas under the control of the attacking forces are in full swing. More than determined, the armed forces of Burkina Faso continues to inflict heavy casualties on terrorist groups. Another dozen terrorists neutralized earlier this week.
Earlier this week, the 5th Groupement d’Unités Mobiles d’Intervention (GUMI) of the National Police and the VDP of the locality of Gossina (province of Nayala, region of Boucle du Mouhoun) ambushed a convoy of terrorists in the area of Tarba (province of Nayala, region of Boucle du Mouhoun).
An ingeniously organised operation, carried out with great coordination, was successful. It has caused enormous losses among criminals. According to the army, a dozen terrorists were neutralized and a lot of materiel recovered, including weapons, ammunition, six (06) motorcycles, one (01) tricycle, one (01) bicycle and various other materiel.
On the side of the fighting forces, no damage has been recorded, specifies the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, who praises the bravery and ingenuity of the elements for this victorious action.
He concluded by calling on all the units of the patriotic coalition committed to the reconquest of the national territory to continue the mission in this spirit of initiative. This serves to strengthen the ascendancy of armed terrorist groups. “It is at this price that the gains made in the context of the reconquest of the national territory will be consolidated,” he said.
