 Burkina Faso: a human tide supports President Ibrahim Traoré for a triumphant transition!

In  Diapaga, on Monday, July 24, 2023, a massive crowd gathered in the streets of the city to show unwavering support for President Ibrahim Traoré and his transitional government. This manifestation, which took the form of a march-meeting, was an opportunity for the population to reaffirm its commitment to the President’s vision and determination for a better Burkina Faso.

Under a bright sun, men, women, and youth came together, waving placards with powerful messages. On these posters, phrases such as «Yes to a new constitution in line with our realities, » « No to discrimination, yes to an aware youth», and «Tapoa is committed to the peace effort» could be read.

These slogans reflect the population’s desire to see the country progress towards a more just, equal, and prosperous society.

During this peaceful demonstration, the unwavering commitment of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) was also highlighted.

 The population expressed gratitude towards these men and women who do not hesitate to sacrifice their lives to protect their motherland.

A particularly moving moment of the day was the heartfelt tribute paid to President Ibrahim Traoré. The crowd expressed confidence in his ability to successfully lead the transition towards a better future.

His commitment to diversifying Burkina Faso’s economic partners was also emphasized, demonstrating the country’s willingness to strengthen its relations with other nations for mutually beneficial development.

The march-meeting was also an opportunity for the population of Diapaga to show solidarity with the transitional government.

The residents spontaneously raised funds, collecting an impressive amount of three million CFA francs. This symbolic sum demonstrates the population’s willingness to engage in the transition process and participate in the construction of a better Burkina Faso.
