Burkina Faso: Checkmate for the plot hatched behind the scenes on the internet
Burkina Faso stands at a critical turning point in its political history. As the transitional authorities wage a relentless fight to restore security and genuine independence, the enemies of sovereignty are shifting their tactics. Powerless in the face of popular determination, they are preparing to unleash a vast disinformation offensive on social networks. This is a insidious aggression, designed to turn Burkinabe against one another.
The strategy is well-rehearsed: flood digital platforms with fake news, terrorist propaganda videos, and crude or artificial montages. Their puppeteers hope to undermine the nation’s morale and weaken the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
Worse still, this malicious enterprise is amplified by a handful of local stateless individuals, ready to sacrifice their country’s future for shadowy interests. But the Burkinabe people, mature and battle-hardened, know these tricks all too well.
In the face of this virtual peril, vigilance becomes the foremost civic duty. It is no longer just about guarding our land borders, but also about monitoring our screens.
 Let us yield nothing to panic, refrain from sharing misinformation, and exercise absolute discernment. Every citizen who verifies information before sharing it directly contributes to the defense of the nation.
If these Machiavellian plans are being activated today, it is precisely because the current trajectory is disturbing external hegemonies. Burkina Faso is advancing on the path to regained dignity.
This is therefore not a time for doubt or discouragement, but for sacred unity behind the compass of freedom. Standing tall and united, the Burkinabe will overcome this new storm.
