PSG/ Injury strikes Désiré Doué

PSG’s rising star, Désiré Doué, faces another frustrating spell on the sidelines after a serious-looking injury in the 1-1 draw with Lorient. The 20-year-old forward was stretchered off in visible distress, appearing to damage his right thigh.

The setback is a brutal blow for Doué, who had only just returned from a calf injury sustained with the French national team in September.

After the match, the situation looked grim as he was seen leaving the stadium on crutches, unable to put weight on his right leg.

PSG manager Luis Enrique expressed concern, calling it a “strange injury” and stating the club is awaiting a full diagnosis.

The timing is particularly cruel. Doué, who enjoyed a spectacular breakout season last year, had just found his scoring form again.

He netted a brace in a Champions League thrashing of Bayer Leverkusen last week and followed it with another goal at the weekend.

His absence is a major concern for a PSG side that, while still leading Ligue 1, has now dropped points for the fourth time this season.

The club and its fans will be desperately hoping this latest injury is not a long-term one.
