Champions League: Liverpool roars back to form with commanding 5-1 victory over Frankfurt

Liverpool emphatically snapped a four-game losing streak with a statement 5-1 away win against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League on Wednesday. The comeback victory marks a crucial turning point for manager Arne Slot’s side.

The match began worryingly for the Reds as Rasmus Kristensen put the hosts ahead in the 26th minute. The lead was short-lived, however, as Hugo Ekitike, facing his former club, leveled the score.

Liverpool then took firm control before halftime. Defensive stalwarts Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konaté both powered in goals from corners, showcasing a potent set-piece threat and completely shifting the momentum.

The second half solidified the dominance of  Liverpool. Further goals from Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai sealed a comprehensive and convincing performance.
