The Gambian U20 team arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Sunday evening at 9:00 PM local time for the U20 World Cup 2023, which begins on May 20, 2023.
The Gambian U20 team landed at the international airport in the Argentine capital before the U20 World Cup. «The young scorpions of the Gambian U20 team have finally arrived at their base in Mendoza, Argentina, ahead of our FIFA U20 World Cup campaign, » it was reported.
The Gambian U20 team is the third team out of the four African qualifiers for the U20 World Cup to arrive in Argentina. Before them, the Nigeria U20 and Senegal U20 teams also made the journey. Only the Tunisia U20 team remains.
The young Gambians will now prepare for their Group F matches against France, Honduras, and South Korea.
The South American country will host the U20 World Cup from Saturday, May 20 to Sunday, June 11, 2023.
