Kyle Walker has joined AC Milan on loan for the remainder of the season, with the Italian giants securing an option to make the move permanent next summer.
The 34-year-old England defender, who completed his medical on Thursday, will wear the number 32 shirt and could debut when Milan host Parma in Serie This Sunday.
Walker joins fellow English players Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Tammy Abraham at the San Siro.
Walker, a six-time Premier League champion with City, expressed gratitude to the club in a heartfelt Instagram post, calling his time at the Etihad a « dream come true. »
He thanked Pep Guardiola, who signed him from Tottenham for £50 million in 2017, for helping shape his career. Together, they celebrated 17 trophies, including last season’s historic treble.
After 319 appearances for City and 93 England caps, Walker informed Guardiola of his decision to leave following his last game against West Ham on January 4.
City also confirmed the signing of Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush from Frankfurt in a £59 million deal as Walker departs. A club statement wished the veteran defender the best for his next chapter.
