Mali: Army General Assimi Goïta reinforces his commitment to the welfare of the most vulnerable
As part of his commitment to the well-being of all social groups, General Assimi Goïta, President of the Transition, continues to demonstrate tangible support for Mali’s most vulnerable citizens.
On Thursday, December 5, 2024, a ceremony was held at the Raoul Follerau Foundation in Para Djicoroni, Bamako, to distribute essential food and non-food kits.
This initiative, aimed primarily at people living with disabilities and leprosy patients, reflects the President’s vision for a more inclusive and compassionate Mali.
The event coincided with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, underscoring the government’s dedication to national solidarity. Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mariam Touré commended President Goïta’s efforts to enhance security while promoting inclusivity.
Presidential Special Advisor Aguibou Dembélé highlighted that these actions are backed by allocations from the Presidential Sovereignty Fund, emphasizing the administration’s prioritization of social support and human development.
By dedicating the entire month of December to supporting persons with disabilities, the Transition government calls for collective action to build a resilient and united Mali. These initiatives symbolize hope and a commitment to creating a society where justice and dignity are upheld for every citizen.
