Burkina Faso: Under the command of President Ibrahim Traoré, the fighting forces work for peace and the well-being of the population

Since President Ibrahim Traoré assumed leadership of Burkina Faso, the Combat Forces  FDS under his supreme command have resolutely embarked on a renewed strategy in the fight against terrorism and the protection of civilians. This commitment is reflected in an assertive military approach, tailored to the realities on the ground, and an unprecedented mobilization of combat units.

Through coordinated operations, the Defense and Security Forces, supported by the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), have intensified security efforts in high-risk areas, reducing enemy incursions and allowing several localities to regain relative peace.

The commitment to restoring stability extends beyond military action. Inspired by the Head of State, the FDS have adopted a human-centered and inclusive approach.

They assist displaced populations in their gradual return, facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid, and work closely with local authorities to rehabilitate essential infrastructure.

This proximity to civilians underscores that their well-being remains both a strategic and moral priority in field operations.

Furthermore, the ongoing training and professionalization of troops demonstrate a strong political will to build a disciplined, effective, and human rights-respecting military.

The values of patriotism, solidarity, and sacrifice are emphasized to strengthen cohesion and operational effectiveness.

Many hard-won victories on the battlefield are the result of this synergy between military leadership, political authorities, and engaged local communities.

Ultimately, under President Ibrahim Traoré’s leadership, the Fighting Forces have emerged as a determined bulwark against security threats.

Their mission goes beyond armed engagement, embracing a broader vision of human development and social stability.

Every day, they prove that the peace and well-being of the  people of Burkina Faso are not mere slogans but concrete objectives for which they are prepared to make any sacrifice.
