Burkina Faso/Diplomacy: Only those who embrace the new dynamic remain

In Burkina Faso, It is evident that the current Burkinabe authorities have established new principles of bilateral cooperation with countries around the world. It is on these fundamental principles that bonds of friendship and cooperation are formed and strengthened, creating a new dynamic of cooperation aimed at primarily protecting the general interest of Burkinabe people.

While the authorities have severed some cooperations with certain countries, other former partners have decided themselves to break ties with Burkina Faso. For instance, Sweden will soon close its embassy in Burkina Faso, as well as in Mali and Sudan. Meanwhile, new relationships are being formed and old ones are being strengthened.

This is the case with the Kingdom of Belgium, whose ambassador, Jean-Jacques Quairiat, is concluding his mission after four years in Burkina Faso. After meeting with the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, he expressed the desire of both parties to continue working together smoothly and to resolve differences in order to preserve and promote the interests of the Burkinabe and Belgian people.

He also mentioned the recent signing of a new cooperation agreement for the next four years, focusing on the fields of entrepreneurship and healthcare. Belgium has agreed to support Burkina Faso in the implementation of certain projects within these programs.

However, it is important to note that their aid is never free. This is why relationships are being established on new foundations to prevent foreign countries from continuing to profit at Burkina Faso’s expense, ensuring that Burkinabè people can benefit from their country’s wealth.
