DRC / Chad: The two countries strengthen their ties by signing three cooperation agreements

On Tuesday, June 25, in N’Djamena, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Chad took a significant step in strengthening their bilateral relations by signing three cooperation agreements. These agreements were signed in the presence of Presidents Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi and Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, marking the end of the Congolese President’s state visit to Chad.

During their meeting, Presidents Tshisekedi and Déby Itno discussed several crucial topics, including: The terrorist threat in the Sahel, Rwanda’s aggression in the east of the DRC, and bilateral relations.

The signing of these agreements symbolizes an important step in consolidating relations between the DRC and Chad. It reflects a shared commitment to promoting peace, security, and development in the region. Regular diplomatic consultations will maintain an open dialogue and find joint solutions to the challenges faced by both countries.

President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi’s state visit to Chad and the signing of the cooperation agreements mark a new chapter in the relations between the DRC and Chad, offering a solid foundation for enhanced and mutually beneficial future collaboration.
