Togo: The country could expand its list of foreign investors

Under the leadership of President Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBE, the Togolese government is ambitiously aiming to attract more foreign investors to Togo for effective and sustainable economic growth. This ambition explains the President’s participation in various international forums.

Recently, President GNASSINGBE was in South Korea to not only participate in the inaugural Korea-Africa Summit held on June 4-5 in Jeju Island and Seoul but also to meet South Korean business leaders and highlight Togo’s investment opportunities.

This week, British economic operators arrived in Lomé to explore investment opportunities in Togo. According to sources, this visit is part of DMA Invest, a program promoting trade and investment for economies outside the G20. The mission in Togo involved discussions with authorities and private sector actors to gather information on business opportunities.

It’s noteworthy that two years ago, under President Faure GNASSINGBE’s leadership, Togo joined the Commonwealth, thereby gaining access to the organization’s vast commercial and investment market. If British businesspeople are convinced by the country’s numerous potentials and attractive business conditions, their sustained presence would be a boon for Togo’s economy.

This strategic engagement on international platforms and with foreign business leaders demonstrates Togo’s proactive approach to fostering economic partnerships and enhancing its global economic standing.
