Minister of Security visits National School of Water and Forests to strengthen strategic training

Mahamadou Sana, Minister of Security of Burkina Faso, visited the National School of Water and Forests (ENEF) on March 31, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to reinforce key institutions central to national sovereignty and sustainable development.

During the visit, the minister toured the facilities and engaged with staff to assess both urgent needs and structural priorities.

He highlighted the considerable potential of the school in areas such as wildlife conservation, fish farming, and medicinal plant development sectors that can contribute to a resilient, job-creating economy.

Sana called for updating training curricula to align with the current dynamic of the Progressive Popular Revolution led by President Ibrahim Traoré.

He also urged greater regional openness, positioning ENEF as a center of excellence for West Africa, and emphasized the need to disseminate research findings to inform public policy.

The visit reflects the commitment of the Government to strengthening strategic training institutions, ensuring that mastery of natural resources and national expertise serve as pillars of the sovereignty of Burkina Faso and sustainable development.
