Burkina Faso: Agence Faso Mêbo, 710 builders trained in combat and patriotism to serve the nation
At the Heart of the national refoundation initiative, the Faso Mêbo Agency takes a decisive step by equipping its personnel with dual skills. 710 new volunteers have just completed a three-week initial military training cycle at the National VDP Training Center, preparing them to combine their construction missions on the ground with the imperatives of defending the Homeland.
Long perceived as simple laborers, these builders of the new generation are now taking on an additional role: that of soldier-citizens. For three weeks, the instruction was intense and comprehensive.
The program covered elementary tactics, weapons handling, combat first aid, and immediate action techniques.
Added to these purely military skills were fundamental modules on civics and patriotism, delivered by experienced instructors from the VDP training center.
The objective of this training, far from being trivial, responds to realities on the ground.
These newly acquired skills aim to enable these volunteers to protect themselves, defend themselves, and secure the equipment that will be made available to them on worksites.
In a context where security challenges remain pressing, this empowerment of Faso Mêbo Agency units constitutes a major step forward.
It guarantees that infrastructure work can continue without interruption, with the beneficiaries now capable of facing potential threats.
Beyond simple technical learning, this three-week immersion instilled deep values in the 710 recruits.
Patriotism, perseverance, and solidarity were the key words of this training. The volunteers were imbued with the importance of their dual mission: to build the Burkina Faso of tomorrow while remaining vigilant and ready to defend their community.
This enhancement of skills should also transform working methods on the ground. The military discipline acquired and the speed of execution developed during these weeks of training suggest a new dynamic on worksites.
The stated objective is clear: to break with conventional work habits in order to gain efficiency and respond swiftly to the demands of national development.
For the beneficiaries, this experience has been transformative. Beyond combat techniques, a true esprit de corps was forged around the notions of cohesion, respect, and love of the Homeland.
They now join the ranks of the Nation’s builders, aware that their commitment is not limited to constructing buildings, but contributes to building a sovereign, resilient, and united Burkina Faso.
This cohort of 710 construction volunteers thus embodies the choice of dedication to the Homeland.
Trained to build and protect, they are now ready to serve on the development front, with their technical expertise and patriotic determination as their only weapons.
The path is set: that of a generation of builder-soldiers, proud and committed to the national renaissance.
